Celebrating Milestone Brand Anniversaries

February 20, 2023 | By Emily Campbell, Infinite Electronics Chief Marketing Officer

Infinite Electronics consists of 23 brands, all of which are focused on meeting customers’ needs by providing a broad inventory of high-quality connectivity products combined with unparalleled customer service and technical support. Three of these brands recently celebrated milestone anniversaries: Pasternack, L-Com and Fairview Microwave.

Together, these three brands represent 120 years of business excellence. They have all grown from humble beginnings to become industry leaders. Each delivers an array of connectivity solutions, including off-the-shelf and custom products, available for same-day shipping, which is what sets apart many of Infinite’s legacy brands.

To mark the momentous anniversaries of these brands, we held celebrations throughout the company and sat down with two longtime employees to learn more about the brand histories and their continued growth as part of Infinite Electronics. Here is a reflection at the history of these brands.

Pasternack Celebrates 50th Anniversary

Pasternack was founded January 9, 1972, and now serves as a global leader in the RF and microwave industry, providing customers with an extensive range of products available for same-day shipping. Founder Murray Pasternack started the company with the sole goal of addressing unique product needs for engineers.

Today, the company continues to thrive with its always-growing inventory of solutions, granting customers access to the broadest array of industry standards, as well as rare and hard-to-find specialty items.

L-Com Reflects Back on 40 Years of Success

While L-Com was incorporated in 1982, the company’s longstanding roots can be traced back to 1949, when founder Alfred F. Contarino Sr started ALCO electronics, a power supply manufacturer and TV repair shop. The product focus shifted in 1984 to connectivity products. By 1997, the company doubled both its workforce and building size. In 2005, L-com continued to expand its operations and opened a 30,000-square foot manufacturing facility in Suzhou, China.

The company has now grown as a leading manufacturer of wired and wireless connectivity products, offering a wide-range of solutions and unrivaled customer service for electronics and data communications industries.

Fairview Microwave Celebrates its 30th Year in Business

Fairview Microwave, originally known as Sun Moon Electronics Company, was founded in 1992. The company pioneered same-day fulfillment of RF and microwave components and cable assemblies to meet the urgent needs of customers. Over the years, Fairview Microwave has earned global recognition for high-quality components and assemblies.

Now, Fairview Microwave serves as a leading supplier of high-quality components and specializes in immediate product needs with no minimum purchase requirements. The brand takes pride in being customer-focused and going to great lengths to ensure customers receive the component they need when they need it.

As Infinite Electronics continues to grow, acquiring new companies and expanding our product portfolio, it’s important for us to take time to look back on where we started to better understand the importance of where we’re going.
